Limescale Filter Cartridges
Limecscale is a build up of hard water minerals, to counter this you can soften the water with a limescale control filter. We provide two types of limescale filters, some to act as a limescale remover and others that will inhibit scale build-up.
Any application where the water hardness is over 180 PPM and the water temperature is below 95°C we would recommend a scale inhibiting water filter. For application in an appliance where the water hardness is above 180 PPM and the water temperature is above 95°C we would recommend the Claris Ultra Range. For solutions on treating many appliances or larger areas a water softener may be the best fit

If limescale already exists in your appliances such as kettles, taps etc then you probably do live in a hard water area and there is already a problem. There are many homemade remedies of how to remove scale using vinegar or lemon juice and water.
Prevention better than cure
there are a few options available to prevent limescale, a limescale removing water filter or a scale inhibiting water filter to make it a bit simpler we have categorised our limescale filters into three categories.
Limescale removal cartridges
Limescale Removal Filter Cartridges are resin-based water filters that work through ion exchange to remove the hard water (limescale causing) minerals from the water so that it cannot present as scale.
Scale inhibition only
Scale Inhibition Only water filters utilise polyphosphate that does not remove the limescale causing minerals such as calcium, but instead seek out the hard water mineral and attach to it, rendering it useless to precipitate as scale as it passes.
Scale Inhibition plus+
Scale Inhibition Plus+ filters again utilise polyphosphate but they do more than simply inhibit scale, depending on the use for the filter they can be used to also remove taste & odour, cysts, lead, mercury among others, the plus range are multi-use scale inhibition water filters that also remove other contaminants.
