TDS Meters

TDS (total dissolved solids) meters are essential for monitoring the performance of your RO system and are therefore vital to the maintenance of a healthy aquarium.

According to HM Digital; Total Dissolved Solids are minerals, salts, metals etc. dissolved in a given volume of water. TDS is measured in mg per unit volume of water (mg/l) or parts per million (ppm).

HMTDSEZ

Primary User - Consumer
Testing Uses - Drinking Water / Aquatic / Window Washing / Beverage Applications

HM's range of TDS test equipment starts with the HMTDSEZ, an economy model for basic water testing applications. The meter is factory calibrated with 342ppm NaCl solution & it can be recalibrated with a mini-screwdriver.


HMAP1

Primary User - Consumer / Hobbyist
Testing Uses - Drinking Water / Water Treatment / Hydroponics / Aquatic / Pools & Spas

The HMAP1 is the first model in HM's new Aqua Pro line. This meter has a measurement range of 0 - 5000ppm and features Automatic Temperature Compensation and Digital Calibration. It also includes a cap and batteries.

HMDM1

Primary User - Consumer
Testing Uses - Monitoring of Domestic Water Treatment Systems / Car Washes / Window Washing / Aquatic

The HMDM1 is designed to measure the ppm of the tap water entering and the purified water exiting your water filtration system. You can then use the monitor to help you determine when the filters need to be changed. Quick connect fittings built into the in / out electrodes mean the HMDM1 can be installed quickly and easily and the meter has a range of 0 - 9990ppm*.

HMDM2

Primary User - Industry
Testing Uses - Car Washes / Window Washing / Manufacturing / Food Processing / Aquatic

This meter works on the same principle as the HMDM1 but is designed for commercial / industrial applications such as car / window washing or manufacturing. The HMDM2 has a stronger, water resistant casing and longer, waterproof, shielded cables. The HMDM2 comes with a mounting bracket and has a range of 0 - 9990ppm*.

HMCOM100

Primary User - Hobbyist / Professional
Testing Uses - Water Treatment / Hydroponics / Aquatic / Laboratory / Industrial / Pools & Spas

The HMCOM100 is a combined EC (Electrical Conductivity), TDS and temperature meter and is part of HM Digital's Professional Line. With three different calibration options and Automatic Temperture Compensation (using three different temperature coefficients) it's precise enough for laboratory applications. This top of the range TDS meter has a waterproof housing and comes with a cap, batteries and a lanyard.

HMPH200

Primary User - Hobbyist / Professional
Testing Uses - Water Treatment / Wastewater Regulation / Aquaculture / Hydroponics / Colloidal Silver / Laboratory / Pools & Spas

The HMPH200 is a combined pH and temperature meter with auto-ranging three point calibration and digital fine tuning. The pH range is 0 - 14pH, accurate to 0.04pH and the temperature range is is 0 - 80 degrees centigrade. Includes a cap, batteries, lanyard and a sachet of powdered 7.0pH buffer solution.

HMC342
342ppm NaCl calibration solution is now available so you can accurately optimise the performance of your TDS meter. The solution comes in 88.7ml (3 oz.) lightweight HDPE plastic bottles.

N.B. The calibration solution composition should match the conversion factor of the meter. The HMTDS3, for example, uses the NaCl conversion factor, so an NaCl calibration solution should be used. The HMCOM100 uses one of three selectable conversion factors (NaCl, 442 or KCl), so any of these three types of calibration solution can be used for the HMCOM100.

Recalibration

Your TDS meter may need recalibrating of the meter is dropped or if someone accidentally changes the calibration. The calibration can also shift over time (more than 2 years) so occasionally recalibrating your meter can help maintain accurate readings. HM Digital's meters are designed to be easy to recalibrate, some with a mini screwdriver, others using inbuild digital calibration.
